History

The Bennie story goes back to 1939; originally a contract ploughing company started by Peter Bennie. The company invested heavily in a wide range of machinery at its conception, diversifying the approach to work and modernising the industry. With the Second World War raging between 1939 and 1945 much of the business’ early work was in aiding the war effort through the construction of air fields.

Since its early days the business has grown extensively into a family of companies which operate in a variety of industries. The Bennie Group is still a family run business today. Now in its third generation we are an organisation with of our foundations and heritage laid in the last century but with our vision and approach very much in the 21st.
